they should have left the factory part as just part of the name
This is my 3rd visit to this restaurant and I'm sad to say, it's not any better than the others. Slow service, air conditioning on (even though it was nearly freezing outside). This time they even neglected to cook my husband's food until after everyone else's was done (or overdone: (burned edges on my kid's pizza). The design of the restaurant actually kinda makes you feel like you are in a factory (brick walls just painted and very drafty) and while the look isn't bad and may have been charming, when coupled with the poor service it left me feeling like my $50+ would have been better spent on delivery. When I brought my complaints to the hostess on our way out, there was no offer of compensation, merely a "Well, I hope your experience next time is better." There will be no next time: three strikes.
As a note on the service, I could understand the slowness of it (having been a waitress for 4 years in my past) if it were busy, but I noted as we left that they weren't even at half capacity (and we arrived before dinner "rush"). It took our waitress a full 10 minutes from the time she gave us our boxes and bill to come back and check in/get my card for payment. 10 minutes? We were about to walk out at that point with my kids and husband all having taken trips to the restroom and getting very restless waiting to leave. She never asked if the kids' drinks needed refills and when she asked how the food was, she didn't stick around long enough to hear the response.
My sister-in-law talked up the place and I kept hoping for that it would live up to the hype. Like I said this is not a one time fluke either. Service every time I've been there has been unreasonably slow.
I guess I should note something on the food. It was acceptable for the price. Nothing was terribly greasy (good), however all the crusts were a little too floury (like caked on underneath) and dry. The best thing they serve are the bread sticks and dipping sauces. They'll run you $1.25 each for the bread and $1 for each sauces.
2 stars because it wasn't horrible, but I'm never going back.
