Ratings & Reviews of Skissors Salon
  1. Zero stars. Bad customer service + bad hack job = Give me my money back
If you need a hairdresser who will focus on you and take time to make sure YOUR hair is done right, don't go to Meghan. The reason I was so upset was that Meghan was so concerned about her next appointment, she never for a second took time to concentrate on me. I was less than ten minutes late and yet Meghan was already on to the next appointment. It didn't matter that her next appointment could have been a no show or late she simply didn't care about doing a good job for me. Note to Meghan: If you have a customer standing in front of you, focus on that person and things will improve for you. Not only will your customer be happier, you will do better work if you pay attention IN THE MOMENT. From the moment I walked into the salon it was a bad vibe. Instead of greeting me and asking how I was (a NEW customer she had never met) she said I was late and would I be okay if she cut my hair but didn't blow dry it. Obviously I said no I won't leave a hair salon with wet hair. Then she suggested she could cut it without washing it or getting it wet. I explained to her that I had had many bad haircuts and I needed someone to take their time. She said okay, let's go. We never sat down to discuss what I wanted or looked at how my current cut needed to be fixed, we just rushed right to the sinks where she quickly washed my hair. When I sat down I tried to explain what I wanted and she did a quick hack job that took less than ten minutes. When she saw that we had still ten minutes left she goes, "I have time to blow dry it is that cool?" I said, "Well of course." She blew it dry with her fingers, used no product or brush and when it was dry said, how does that look? I couldn't really tell since it hadn't been brushed at all so I asked if she had a brush. When she told me no, I said, "How about a comb?" So she hands ME the comb to do it myself. So I comb it myself in front of her and she just stands and watches. I wouldn't pay someone to do my hair if I'm expected to do it myself!! Next she walked me to the counter to pay and I was out the door one minute before her next appointment. It occurred to me later that she never even gave me a mirror to look at the back or anything. I was upset about this whole twenty minute fiasco but couldn't put my finger on it until I gave it some thought, so I came back about a half hour later to get my money back. When I finally got home to really look at the cut, I realized that I will have to go back to someone else to have it fixed. Of course I will. It was the most rushed hack job I've ever gotten. Shame on me for not walking out but I was literally in shock that I was being treated this way and it took me some time to think about what happened. I won't be going back and neither should you.
